EE - Update v0.8


The Double Update for Mike and Joseph's route is here!

I apologize for the long wait. Update 0.8 for Joseph's route is not far off as parts were already written in advance. CG's aren't what take me the longest, (besides writing) it's character designing. I now have a new character designer to help out so updates will come faster. Those designs will appear in 0.9 or 0.10 and will be credited. 

The routes will be updated in one or more parts due to how long it may take to update otherwise and my already tight schedule. 


Update & Changes:

- Mike | DAY 3 PART 2: | DANGER OF A REALIZED WEREWOLF

- Joseph | Day 3 Finished

- Typo, sprite, fixes

- Main Menu Theme turned down

- New CG's (3 Animated)

- New sprites for Mike

- Ethan, Mike (Base) & Joesie sprite fixes

- Couple of detail changes for the story and character development.

- Itch.io page changes.


Planned to Come Next:

- Mike | Day 3 Part 3: STOP PRETENDING, TELL THE TRUTH

- Joseph | Day 4 Part 1: FELLOW JUDGEMENT AND UNCERTAINTY

- Tons of sound effects

- Any and all designs will be credited accordingly


Development & Writing:

I also reorganized most of the game folders and images so I needed to retest the entire game and write over a lot of code, directives, file destinations, and other stuff. Anyways, I hope it's worth the wait! The routes have been focused on Mike, Joseph, and a bit more of Kazuma's route for now. I also needed time to research, since I love using and creating a lot of concepts, story, fights, and abilities based on real-life concepts and martial arts. Chet as in mc's fighting style is almost completely based around mixed martial arts — primarily Baguazhang, while other characters e.g. Tom or Mike, are based more around boxing. Some need more research than others. (Don't take that as confirmation that every character only knows one martial art, but I will confirm that each character has one they focus most on the most, proven by the mc knowledge and being able to identify the different and many forms and styles an opponent might be using).

The reorganizing and research is what took about 1/3 of the working/waiting time between 0.6 and 0.8. Once again, I hope it was worth the wait, and thanks for waiting to begin!

For those who don't mind spoilers or are willing to risk being spoiled, here's the google doc I promised before. It has further/early information about the characters, story plans, references, inspirations, explanations, fun facts, history of the project, and more. The google doc will be updated when needed, but can also be found as a text file in the game folder. The text file will of course only be updated anytime the game is.

Also there are a lot of bugs that need to be fixed in my opinion

Yeah... and a lot of typos

A really good update. But, why is it that even when you choose the right option in the Earth Decline test/minigame you always fail?

Sorry. I was told before and I thought it was fixed. Despite the result that is shown, it counted as a win. I'll do another test. Thanks for letting me know
