A Well-needed Update

Hello everyone, Tendo here after being away for over a year, two years since you last had any builds.

Throughout my silence I have worked on pieces here and there of the remastering of the visual novel and I have stacks of drawings and designs waiting to be digitized and I've been drawing everything on paper first, so things have definitely been in the works for some time, just very solely. My silence and procrastination issues have made it every difficult for me to reach back out those were helping me because I'd ask, disappear and not pick back up until a few months later. I have a release date in mind, but for my health I plan on releasing a proof of concept or only a finished prologue build as opposed to any too long, as you've all very patient and I've been dead silent.

There will likely be a new discord server replacing the current one at release, as well as a new itch.io page for the remastered/rewritten version as a clean slate after a year of silence, and wanted to stay silent for until I was ready to start updating for my mental health, as the first time logged onto inch.io was two or three weeks ago, as well as feeling like there was some decent progress going on. There will also be a new Twitter page dedicated towards the vn at concept release as well.

I haven't drawn back-to-back in a while so I was experiencing burn outs very quickly as I attempted to force myself back as pushing through can be good, but I now have my passion fairly enough back under control for me to update you all. Whether this itch.io page for Eternal Eclipse will be taken down or be kept up for memories or for comparison, I'm not sure where I stand, but what I'm sure of is that the hiatus is over and the visual novel is back in the state of work in progress and has had large amounts of time dedicated towards it.

Backgrounds and soundtrack are the only thing I'm very worried about now, and I now have my eye on a few music producers and I'm now on deciding which one to reach out to. If push comes to shove, I'll either release without music or royalty free, as I feel I have a proof of concept before reaching out for help and commissions, though if I do use royalty free music that will hopefully not last past the first few builds.

I've also switched from using the text editor Atom, which has now shut down, to another program so I'm learning all while building and creating this visual novel. I will still be sticking to renpy. I haven't touched any of the programming stuff in so long that I have to relearn much of it as I go. If anyone from the discord server or otherwise knows/remembers a few things about this programming stuff please contact me, I'm a struggling and do not where to start with certain things, ha.

The beginning prologue I want to be extravagant especially compared to what I've done before, and though I don't think I'll continue what I have planned for the opening in the way that's being worked on, I do wish to bring good quality.

A few current characters have had redesigned or have changed names (most notably Mike, Mykkal and Koyar) or have adjusted slight changes, while a few may become scrapped or entirely removed but that's a part of the progress. None of the characters sprite are cut at the waist anymore but full body sprites waiting to be positioned.

The story is taking a hard turn towards a different change but I think it's much better this way. There will be multiple storylines and many MANY characters for you to enjoy.

I have actually done quite a lot more research on history, mythologies and inspiration for other visual novels and stories to regain my inspiration, and I'm though I'm not perfect, I am much better and ready to take on the challenge!

Thank you once again for your patience, it has literally been two years.
